My husband and I went to the local apple orchard recently. That's a fun, fall highlight for us. They have the most wonderful apple cider! It's also a sort of "must" to get some apple cider donuts. They make them fresh right in front of you, and they're quite wonderful.
Some flowers have managed to survive a while longer. Would it be super cheesy if I said they had "flower power"? Though, historically I suppose that would mean a more "passive resistance" than, say, ardently fighting against frost. Haha - that'd make a funny propaganda poster - flowers yelling "fight the frost!" (I like tangents. Do you not know this about me yet?)
If you look closely, you can see some apples in the pond. Maybe the animals were bobbing for apples.
It's pretty neat having local options for a pumpkin
patch and an apple orchard, and as it turned out, the apple orchard also
had pumpkins - lots of them!
And they didn't have just ANY pumpkins - no, sir. They had these modern pumpkins with price tags. ;) It still amuses me.
Apple cider donuts, hot, in a paper bag, delivered with the acknowledgment to keep the bag open since they were still very, very hot. Does life get much better than that on a fall day?
